To be eligible for the Registered
Environmental Health Specialist/Registered Sanitarian credential, a candidate must meet
one of the following conditions.
Candidate holds an Environmental Health
Degree
You are eligible for the credential if you
have a Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D. in environmental health from an accredited college or
university.
Candidate holds a Bachelors Degree
You are eligible for the credential if you
have a Bachelor's Degree which includes:
An algebra course or higher level math; and
30 semester/45 quarter hours in the basic
sciences, i.e. courses in biology, chemistry, physics, or other physical sciences, as well
as sanitary engineering or environmental engineering; and
Two or more years of experience in
environmental health.
